Description

Delightful bite-sized treats filled with warm apple filling, wrapped in flaky pastry, and cooked to perfection in an air fryer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups diced apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 sheet pie dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (or coconut oil for dairy-free)

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and dice the apples into small pieces. Mix with brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  2. Roll out the dough to 1/4-inch thick and cut into squares.
  3. Place a heaping tablespoon of apple mixture in the center of each square. Fold and seal the edges tight.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Air fry the bombs in a single layer for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving and dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

Consider using a food brush for egg wash and avoid overcrowding in the air fryer for best results.
