Description

A delightful baked Brie surrounded by flaky pastry, drizzled with honey, and infused with fresh thyme, creating a warm and inviting treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme (or rosemary)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out your puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Place the Brie in the center of the pastry.
  4. Drizzle honey over the Brie and sprinkle with fresh thyme.
  5. Fold the pastry over the Brie, tucking in the edges to seal it completely.
  6. Mix the beaten egg with a splash of water and brush over the pastry (if using).
  7. Place the wrapped Brie on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Ensure not to overfill with honey or thyme to maintain flavor balance. Always watch the pastry closely in the oven to prevent burning.
