Description

Ingredients

  • Chuck Roast (3-4 lbs)
  • Balsamic Vinegar (½ cup)
  • Beef Broth (2 cups)
  • Mushrooms (8 oz, cremini or button)
  • Garlic (3-4 cloves, minced)
  • Fresh Herbs (rosemary and thyme)
  • Onion (1 large, chopped)
  • Carrots (2-3, sliced)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Chop the vegetables, slice the mushrooms, and mince the garlic.
  2. Sear the Roast (Optional but recommended): Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add a splash of oil, and sear each side of the roast until browned.
  3. Layer Ingredients in Slow Cooker: Place the roast in the slow cooker with carrots, onions, and mushrooms. Sprinkle garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper on top.
