Instructions
- In a medium-sized skillet over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter, stirring until it turns golden brown and emits a nutty aroma. Let it cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter, dark brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix well until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and add vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, espresso powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in toffee bits and chocolate chips.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop balls of dough onto the sheet with space between each.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges are golden brown, then cool slightly before transferring to a wire rack.
