Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons Cajun spice blend
- 12 ounces spaghetti (or pasta of choice)
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water and cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente. Drain and reserve a cup of pasta water.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté chopped onions until soft, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add ground beef, season with Cajun spice, and brown while mixing with sautéed onions and garlic.
- Pour in heavy cream, reduce heat to low, and simmer. Mix in the cheddar and mozzarella until melted, adding reserved pasta water to adjust thickness if needed.
- Combine spaghetti with the sauce, ensuring all strands are coated. Adjust seasoning as necessary.
- Serve in a dish, topped with grated Parmesan and fresh parsley while hot.
Notes
Feel free to substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter version. Using non-dairy cheese and Greek yogurt can make it vegan-friendly.
