Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh herbs (basil, chives, or parsley), chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cream together the butter and cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Gradually mix in the flour, salt, and pepper until it forms a soft dough.
  3. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Create a small well in the center of each ball with your thumb or a spoon.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix the garlic, cheddar, and herbs, then spoon a portion into each thumbprint well.
  8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
