- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat and let cool slightly.
- Stir in granulated sugar and brown sugar until combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, and salt; gradually stir into the wet mixture.
- Add peppermint extract and fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack and slice into squares.
- Optionally, sprinkle extra crushed peppermint on top before serving.
Notes
