Ingredients
- Crescent roll dough
- Ground pork sausage (or turkey/chicken sausage)
- Fresh parsley, thyme, and sage
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Freshly minced garlic
- Optional: Sautéed mushrooms or bell pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage until fully cooked, breaking it into pieces. Drain excess fat.
- Add minced garlic and herbs to the sausage, stirring until aromatic.
- Turn off the heat and mix in the cheese.
- Roll out the crescent dough on a floured surface in a circular shape on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Place spoonfuls of the sausage mixture in the center, then fold the dough over to encase it.
- Brush with melted butter for a golden finish, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Garnish with additional herbs and let cool slightly before serving.
