- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar mixture (equal parts sugar and cinnamon, for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, cinnamon, granulated sugar, and brown sugar; whisk together.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until just combined.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with a layer of cinnamon sugar mixture; pour the remaining batter on top.
- Create swirls in the batter with a knife, mixing in some of the cinnamon sugar.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool slightly before drizzling icing made from powdered sugar and milk over the top.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, replace all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend. For dairy-free, use almond milk and coconut oil instead of butter.
