Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar mixture (equal parts sugar and cinnamon, for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, cinnamon, granulated sugar, and brown sugar; whisk together.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir until just combined.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with a layer of cinnamon sugar mixture; pour the remaining batter on top.
  7. Create swirls in the batter with a knife, mixing in some of the cinnamon sugar.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before drizzling icing made from powdered sugar and milk over the top.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, replace all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend. For dairy-free, use almond milk and coconut oil instead of butter.
