Description

A family favorite, these Citrus Herb Roasted Chicken Drumettes are bursting with bright citrus flavors and fresh herbs, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken drumettes
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix lemon and orange juice, minced garlic, chopped herbs, olive oil, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  3. Place drumettes in a large bag or bowl and pour marinade over them, massaging to coat. Marinate in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment or foil, then place marinated drumettes in a single layer on it.
  5. Roast in the oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway, until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Let rest for a few minutes before serving, garnished with extra herbs or citrus slices.

Notes

Letting the chicken come to room temperature before cooking ensures even cooking. Use a wire rack for crispier drumettes.
