Description

A delightful tropical dessert featuring chewy sago pearls paired with sweet mango and creamy coconut milk.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sago pearls
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 can (400 ml) coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 ripe mangoes, diced

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sago Pearls: Rinse the sago pearls under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. Cook the Sago: In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil, add the sago pearls, and cook for 10-15 minutes until translucent.
  3. Sweeten the Coconut Milk: Combine coconut milk and sugar in a saucepan over low heat until sugar dissolves.
  4. Combine: Drain the sago pearls, rinse, and mix with the sweetened coconut milk.
  5. Prepare the Mangoes: Dice mangoes and fold into the sago mixture, reserving some for topping.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours.
  7. Serve: Spoon into bowls, garnish with mango cubes and toasted coconut flakes.

Notes

For added flavor, drizzle honey or sprinkle lime zest on top before serving.
