Description

A timeless dish combining tender chicken with a rich, creamy sauce flavored with fresh tarragon and garlic, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons fresh tarragon, chopped
  • 2 shallots, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by slicing the chicken and chopping the shallots and garlic.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add the chicken, cooking until golden on both sides (5-7 minutes). Remove the chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add more butter (if needed), then sauté the shallots and garlic until fragrant (2-3 minutes).
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer; stir in the heavy cream and return the chicken to the skillet.
  5. Allow the chicken to simmer in the sauce for about 10 minutes, then stir in the fresh tarragon just before serving.
  6. Plate the chicken over rice or pasta, garnished with additional tarragon or a squeeze of lemon, and enjoy.
