Description

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 8 ounces dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher)
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon peppermint extract (adjust to taste)
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Crushed peppermint candies (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar in a bowl. Mix until well-coated and press evenly into a tart pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden. Cool.
  3. Melt dark chocolate in a double boiler. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Whisk eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy. Gradually mix in cooled chocolate.
  6. Gently fold whipped cream into chocolate mixture in three additions. Add peppermint extract.
  7. Pour mousse into cooled tart shell and smooth the top. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Serve topped with whipped cream and crushed peppermint candies.
