Description

Delightful truffles combining coconut and almonds, perfect for sharing during the holidays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups dark or semi-sweet chocolate
  • 1 cup shredded coconut (fresh or unsweetened)
  • ½ cup slivered or crushed almonds
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Begin by melting the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine shredded coconut, slivered almonds, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir well until everything is integrated.
  3. Once the chocolate is melted and slightly cooled, gradually add it to the coconut-almond mixture and mix until fully combined. Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Roll each truffle in additional shredded coconut and crushed almonds until well-coated.
  5. Place the truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least an hour to set. Serve on a platter.

Notes

If the mixture is too sticky, wet your hands slightly before rolling the truffles.
