Description
Delightful truffles combining coconut and almonds, perfect for sharing during the holidays.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups dark or semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 cup shredded coconut (fresh or unsweetened)
- ½ cup slivered or crushed almonds
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Begin by melting the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, combine shredded coconut, slivered almonds, and sweetened condensed milk. Stir well until everything is integrated.
- Once the chocolate is melted and slightly cooled, gradually add it to the coconut-almond mixture and mix until fully combined. Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Roll each truffle in additional shredded coconut and crushed almonds until well-coated.
- Place the truffles on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate for at least an hour to set. Serve on a platter.
Notes
If the mixture is too sticky, wet your hands slightly before rolling the truffles.
