- 1 lb pork shoulder or loin, sliced into thin strips
- 8 oz noodles (egg noodles, rice noodles, or zoodles)
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated
- 1–2 fresh chili peppers or Szechuan peppercorns, to taste
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (broccoli, bell peppers, snap peas)
- Toasted sesame seeds for garnish
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: Slice the pork, mince the garlic and ginger, and chop your vegetables. Set aside.
- Cook the pork: Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté the pork until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Stir-fry the aromatics: In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and stir-fry the minced garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Introduce the veggies: Add your choice of vegetables and sauté until tender yet crisp.
- Combine flavors: Return the pork to the skillet, followed by the cooked noodles. Pour in the soy sauce, sugar, and chili paste, mixing well.
- Final touches: Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
