Description

A cozy, festive bread infused with the warm flavors of eggnog, nutmeg, and cinnamon, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup eggnog
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Optional: chopped nuts or dried fruits for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prep a loaf pan by greasing it with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggnog, sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until everything is fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, being gentle to avoid over-mixing.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Optionally, sprinkle chopped nuts or dried fruits on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend. Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for best results.
