Scale
- 1 cup eggnog
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Optional: chopped nuts or dried fruits for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prep a loaf pan by greasing it with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggnog, sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until everything is fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, being gentle to avoid over-mixing.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Optionally, sprinkle chopped nuts or dried fruits on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
