  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line cupcake tin with paper liners.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix brown sugar and molasses until combined, then add eggs and milk, stirring until smooth.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Fold in dried fruits evenly into the batter.
  6. Fill cupcake liners 2/3 full with batter.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow cupcakes to cool for 5 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack.
  9. Meanwhile, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  10. Drizzle glaze over cooled cupcakes before serving.
