A sweet and spiced syrup infused with ginger and molasses, perfect for enhancing your morning coffee.
Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, mix together one cup of water, half a cup of brown sugar, and a quarter cup of molasses.
- Stir in two teaspoons of freshly grated ginger, one teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and half a teaspoon of nutmeg.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugars are dissolved.
- Lower the heat and allow it to simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Once thickened and fragrant, remove from heat and let it cool before pouring it into a clean jar.
Notes
Store the syrup in the fridge for up to two weeks. For a sweeter taste, you can substitute some sugar for honey or maple syrup.
