Description

A flavorful and aromatic dish featuring flaky sea bream, marinated in lemon and garlic, perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 whole sea bream (or substitute with snapper or trout)
  • 2 tablespoons high-quality extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 fresh lemons, zested and juiced
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Fresh oregano, chopped (or substitute with thyme or dill)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Drizzle olive oil on the bottom of a baking dish.
  3. Rinse the sea bream and pat dry. Score the fish on both sides.
  4. In a bowl, combine minced garlic, lemon juice, zest, salt, pepper, and half the olive oil. Pour over the fish and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Stuff the cavity of the fish with lemon slices and herbs.
  6. Place fish in the baking dish, drizzle with remaining olive oil, and roast for 20-25 minutes until flaky.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh herbs and extra lemon wedges.

Notes

Choose the freshest fish for best results. Let the fish rest after roasting for optimal juiciness.
