Description

Delightful and chewy Halloween Cookies, perfect for celebrating the spooky season with family and friends.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract until well blended.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, combining until fully incorporated.
  7. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
  8. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼-inch thick and use cookie cutters to cut out shapes.
  9. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Allow to cool briefly before transferring to a wire rack. Decorate with icing, sprinkles, or edible glitter as desired.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for best results. Chill dough to maintain shape during baking.
