Delightful Hazelnut Chocolate Truffles made with rich dark chocolate and toasted hazelnuts, perfect for gatherings or as a sweet treat.
Ingredients

- 8 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa or higher)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup toasted hazelnuts, finely chopped
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1 tbsp espresso powder (optional)
Instructions
- Chop the chocolate finely.
- In a small saucepan, bring the heavy cream to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat once it bubbles.
- Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate, letting it sit for a couple of minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Add the butter and blend until fully incorporated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 2 hours, until firm.
- Scoop the ganache and roll into smooth balls.
- Roll each truffle in finely chopped hazelnuts until coated.
- Chill again for 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Ensure chocolate and cream are melted gently to maintain a smooth texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freeze for up to three months.
