Description

Delicious homemade peppermint patties filled with creamy mint and coated in rich chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure peppermint extract
  • 1 cup semisweet or dark chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: In a mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and peppermint extract. Stir until thick and well-mixed.
  2. Shape the Patties: Lightly dust your hands with powdered sugar and roll a small amount of the mixture into a disc shape. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Chill the Filling: Refrigerate the discs for about 30 minutes until firm.
  4. Melt the Chocolate: Melt chocolate with coconut oil over a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals.
  5. Dip the Patties: Dip each chilled patty into the melted chocolate, tapping off excess, and return to parchment-lined sheet.
  6. Set and Enjoy: Allow the chocolate to set at room temperature or in the fridge before enjoying.

Notes

For a decorative touch, sprinkle crushed peppermint candy on top before the chocolate sets.
