Description
A family favorite dish featuring tender chicken and fluffy biscuits drizzled with spicy sweet hot honey, perfect for any gathering.
Ingredients
- Boneless chicken breasts or thighs
- Store-bought or homemade biscuits
- Hot honey (store-bought or homemade)
- Fresh herbs (thyme or rosemary)
- Spices (paprika, garlic powder, black pepper)
- Butter (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare the biscuits by mixing flour, baking powder, salt, and cold butter until crumbly, then add milk and mix until just combined. Roll out and cut into circles.
- Season chicken generously with salt, pepper, and paprika, and let sit for about 10 minutes.
- Cook the chicken in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through, then let rest.
- Place biscuits on a baking sheet, brush with melted butter, and bake for about 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Assemble by slicing biscuits, placing chicken inside, and drizzling with hot honey.
Notes
Rest the chicken after cooking to retain juices. Avoid overmixing the biscuit dough for light texture.
