Ingredients

- 4 cups water
- 4–6 tea bags (black or green tea)
- ½ to 1 cup granulated sugar (or sweetener of choice)
- 2–3 fresh lemons (juiced and sliced for garnish)
- Ice
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Boil 4 cups of fresh water in a large kettle.
- Pour the hot water over 4-6 bags of your chosen tea leaves in a heat-safe pitcher and steep for 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in ½ to 1 cup of sugar or sweetener while the tea is still warm, then add the juice of 2-3 lemons.
- Remove the tea bags and let the mixture cool before chilling it in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
- Fill tall glasses with ice, pour the chilled Lemon Iced Tea over, and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint.
Notes
For the best flavor, use freshly squeezed lemon juice. Adjust sweetness to taste.
