- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a rectangular baking pan with butter or parchment paper.
- Cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, alternating with milk and maple syrup. Mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly golden on top.
- While cooling, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and maple syrup until smooth.
- Pour glaze over warm bars and let cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Let the bars cool completely before frosting to ensure the glaze sets correctly. For added texture, sprinkle chopped pecans on top before the glaze sets.
