Description
A comforting and classic pancake recipe that embodies warmth, nostalgia, and deliciousness.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup milk (whole or 2%)
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter until combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined; a few lumps are okay.
- Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Lightly grease the skillet and pour 1/4 cup of batter onto it. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
- Serve warm with butter and maple syrup or toppings of your choice.
Notes
For fluffier pancakes, do not overmix the batter. Let it rest for about 5 minutes before cooking.
