- 12 taco shells
- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey, chicken, or lentils for vegetarian option)
- 2 cups mixed cheese (sharp cheddar and Monterey Jack)
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh toppings: chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, guacamole
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add ground meat; season with spices and cook until browned.
- Turn off the heat and fold in half of the cheese into the mixture.
- Fill taco shells with the cheesy meat mixture.
- Top each filled taco with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and shells are crisp.
- Serve with fresh toppings.
Notes
For added flavor, garnish with fresh cilantro or a squeeze of lime. Avoid over-filling tacos for the perfect crunch.
