Ingredients

- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed and pre-rolled)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to form a rectangle.
- Brush the melted butter over the surface of the pastry.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract, then sprinkle over the butter-coated pastry.
- Cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch wide. Twist each strip two or three times and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffy.
- Allow to cool slightly before enjoying warm.
Notes
For a deeper flavor, you can substitute brown sugar for granulated sugar. Optionally, brush with a beaten egg for a golden finish.
