Description

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed and pre-rolled)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to form a rectangle.
  4. Brush the melted butter over the surface of the pastry.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract, then sprinkle over the butter-coated pastry.
  6. Cut the pastry into strips about 1 inch wide. Twist each strip two or three times and place on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and puffy.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before enjoying warm.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, you can substitute brown sugar for granulated sugar. Optionally, brush with a beaten egg for a golden finish.
