Description

Delightful chocolate cupcakes with creamy peppermint frosting, perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • Creamy peppermint frosting
  • Crushed candy canes (for decoration)
  • Chocolate sprinkles (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk until just combined.
  5. Scoop the batter into lined muffin tins, filling them two-thirds full.
  6. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  7. Frost with peppermint frosting and add decorations as desired.
  8. Serve on a beautiful platter.
