Ingredients

- 1.5 lbs flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 4 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Slice the beef into thin strips against the grain.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
- Place the beef in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over it. Stir to coat evenly.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours until the beef is tender.
- In the last half hour, mix cornstarch with a splash of water and stir it into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
- Serve the beef on a plate and top with sliced green onions.
Notes
Consider searing the beef for added flavor and ensure not to overcrowd the slow cooker.
