Ingredients
- Cremini or Portobello mushrooms
- Truffle oil
- Breadcrumbs (traditional or panko)
- Parmesan or Gruyère cheese
- Fresh garlic
- Fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or chives)
- Butter or olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove their stems. Chop the stems finely.
- In a skillet, melt butter or heat olive oil. Add minced garlic and chopped mushroom stems, sauté for 3-5 minutes until soft.
- Stir in breadcrumbs, cheese, fresh herbs, and a drizzle of truffle oil. Season with salt and pepper.
- Stuff each mushroom cap with the mixture, pressing gently to compact.
- Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet, drizzle with extra truffle oil, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
