Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and spices until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the brown sugar and molasses until smooth, then add the eggs and oil.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
