Description

Crispy and juicy steak strips, perfectly coated and fried for a delightful family meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin or flank steak, sliced into 1-inch wide strips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 2 large eggs (or flax eggs/cornstarch slurry)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika (add cayenne for spice)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko (or gluten-free breadcrumbs)
  • Cooking oil (vegetable, canola, or olive oil for frying)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steak by slicing it into uniform 1-inch wide strips.
  2. Set up a breading station with flour mixed with salt and pepper, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
  3. Dredge each steak piece in flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat about half an inch of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry the steak fingers in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Ensure the oil is hot enough for a crispy texture. Allow the steak to come to room temperature before cooking.
