Description

A silky and creamy dessert infused with real vanilla beans, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons powdered gelatin
  • 1 vanilla bean, seeds scraped

Instructions

  1. Bloom the gelatin by sprinkling it over a few tablespoons of cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and the seeds from the vanilla bean pod. Heat over medium until warm, without boiling.
  3. Remove from heat and add the bloomed gelatin, stirring until completely dissolved.
  4. Pour the mixture into serving dishes and let it cool at room temperature for 30 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4-6 hours, or until set.
  5. To serve, gently run a knife around the edges and dip bottoms in warm water. Invert onto a plate and garnish with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For an elevated presentation, garnish with fresh berries or a drizzle of caramel.
