Ingredients

- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons powdered gelatin
- 1 vanilla bean, seeds scraped
Instructions
- Bloom the gelatin by sprinkling it over a few tablespoons of cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and the seeds from the vanilla bean pod. Heat over medium until warm, without boiling.
- Remove from heat and add the bloomed gelatin, stirring until completely dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into serving dishes and let it cool at room temperature for 30 minutes. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 4-6 hours, or until set.
- To serve, gently run a knife around the edges and dip bottoms in warm water. Invert onto a plate and garnish with your favorite toppings.
Notes
For an elevated presentation, garnish with fresh berries or a drizzle of caramel.
