Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 8 oz thick-cut bacon, chopped
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 sheet puff pastry or biscuit dough
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Fresh parsley or chives, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook the bacon until crispy in a skillet over medium heat, then chop into pieces.
- In the same skillet, brown the ground beef, seasoning it with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Combine the cooked bacon with the browned beef and stir in the cheese until melted.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares.
- Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each square, fold corners, and pinch to seal.
- Brush the tops with a beaten egg.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Try adding sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor or using turkey for a lighter option.
