Description

Delightful little bundles of bacon and cheese wrapped in pastry, perfect for gatherings and family events.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz thick-cut bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 sheet puff pastry or biscuit dough
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Fresh parsley or chives, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Cook the bacon until crispy in a skillet over medium heat, then chop into pieces.
  3. In the same skillet, brown the ground beef, seasoning it with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Combine the cooked bacon with the browned beef and stir in the cheese until melted.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares.
  6. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each square, fold corners, and pinch to seal.
  7. Brush the tops with a beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Try adding sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor or using turkey for a lighter option.
