Description
A delicious and quick stir-fry that combines tender beef with vibrant broccoli in a savory sauce, perfect for any family meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb beef (ribeye or flank steak), sliced
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, and cornstarch. Let it sit while you prepare the other ingredients.
- Prepare the Broccoli: Blanch the broccoli in boiling water for about two minutes until bright and vibrant. Drain and set aside.
- Stir-Fry: Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add sesame oil and, once hot, add the marinated beef in a single layer. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until browned.
- Add Broccoli: Stir in the broccoli and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, water, and a pinch of sugar. Pour this mixture over the beef and broccoli, allowing it to thicken.
- Serve: Finish with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and sliced green onions on top.
Notes
For added flavor, consider incorporating sautéed mushrooms like shiitake or cremini for an earthy richness.
