Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Green onions, cut into chunks
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, sesame oil, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Add chicken pieces to the marinade and let them soak for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours in the fridge.
- Soak wooden skewers in water for about 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Remove chicken from marinade and thread onto skewers, alternating with chunks of green onion.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grill grates.
- Grill skewers for 5-7 minutes on each side or until cooked through, basting with leftover marinade during grilling.
- Let skewers rest for a minute before serving. Optionally drizzle with a touch of honey and garnish with sesame seeds.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, substitute chicken with tofu. Use maple syrup instead of honey for a different sweetness, and tamari for a gluten-free version.
