- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs

- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 3 minutes).
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool on a wire rack and dust generously with powdered sugar.
Notes
For a lighter version, consider substituting vegetable oil for butter and using flax eggs for a vegan option.
