Description

A delightful dish that combines sweet honey and savory soy sauce with tender chicken, creating a family favorite that’s great for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless chicken (breast or thighs)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (dark or light)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Cut your chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar.
  3. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat and add chicken pieces. Sauté until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Pour the honey-soy mixture over the chicken and stir to coat thoroughly. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
  6. Serve over fluffy white rice or steamed veggies.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use tamari instead of soy sauce. Brown sugar can substitute honey if you’re in a pinch.
