- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped (white or yellow)
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms (button or cremini)
- 3 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Gather all your ingredients and set up your slow cooker.
- If using fresh mushrooms, sauté them in a skillet with a bit of butter until golden brown.
- Place the chicken at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add the chopped onions, sautéed mushrooms, and minced garlic on top.
- Sprinkle the ranch seasoning evenly over the chicken.
- Pour the cream of chicken soup and chicken broth over everything. Add the butter on top and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover your slow cooker and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken and shred it with two forks, then return it to the pot, stirring to combine with the sauce.
- Serve over rice or with crusty bread.
Notes
For added flavor, try adding some chopped fresh herbs like parsley or chives at the end. Adjust the consistency by adding more chicken broth if you prefer a thinner sauce.
