Ingredients
- Cake (any flavor: chocolate, vanilla, or funfetti)
- Frosting (store-bought or homemade)
- Candy melts (white chocolate or vanilla)
- Mini chocolate chips (for eyes)
- Orange candy (for noses)
- Colorful sprinkles (for decoration)
- Lollipop sticks (or sturdy straws)
Instructions
- Bake the chosen cake according to recipe or box instructions. Allow to cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into a large mixing bowl.
- Gradually mix in frosting, about one-third cup at a time, until moist and firm.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Melt candy melts according to package instructions until smooth.
- Dip the tip of each lollipop stick into melted candy, then insert into the center of each cake ball.
- Dip the pops into the melted candy, tapping off excess candy, then return them to the lined baking sheet.
- While coating is warm, decorate with candy eyes, buttons, or sprinkles.
- Let the pops set completely at room temperature or in the fridge for an hour.
